Mariah Carey Flaunts Her Pipes With A Cappella On New Album 'The Rarities'

Believe it or not, Mariah Carey is now 50 years old with more than three decades into the music industry, having first signed with Columbia Records in the late 1980s. 

With the cancellation of the 2020 Barbershop Harmony Society Convention, the a cappella community knows as well as anybody that these months have been trying. COVID-19 has changed the athletic and artistic worlds across the globe, with everyone — from major program directors to individual singers — needing to adapt. 

With Disney World currently in discussion with two major sports leagues about hosting their competitions — Major League Soccer (MLS) and the National Basketball Association (NBC) — we thought this would be a great time to talk about some of the other magic that Disney brings. 

The events of the last week have been tremendously painful to us all.

Unfortunately for a capella fans everywhere, the 2020 Barbershop Harmony Society International Convention, which had been scheduled to take place in Los Angeles this summer, was canceled due to concerns surrounding the spread of the coronavirus.

After an exciting day of contest, the Barbershop Harmony Society named Hearsay the 2020 International Senior Quartet Champions. 

From Disney, to The Beatles, to barbershop classics, the youngest and oldest talent of the Barbershop Harmony Society shared the stage at the Florida Theatre in a marathon of chorus performances today at the BHS Midwinter Convention in Jacksonville.
