#MondayMorning: The Future Of Barbershop

It's no surprise that the future of barbershop is fostered by youth participation. While there are many youth choruses to be very proud of, quartets at the same age level are singing one person to a part and are achieving something else entirely. This #mondaymorning, we're spotlighting three of the best!

Elementary Mix Quartet

Elementary Mix from Quiton Township School checked mics for the BHS International Convention in Las Vegas this past summer.

"This young quartet has a second-grader on lead, a third-grader on baritone, a third-grader on tenor, and an eighth-grader on bass," says the group's teacher, John Wernega.

Perfect Fourth Quartet

After forming less than a year ago, Perfect Fourth Quartet was named the 2017 Stars To Watch at SAI's Rising Star Quartet Contest this summer. They all go to high school together in Liverpool, NY.

"We're so proud of this performance and we will remember this weekend for the rest of our livess" Perfect Fourth told Pitch Pipe magazine following the competition.

Vintage Mix Quartet

Vintage Mix Quartet is a true family band comprised of a set of teenage quadruplets.

This performance is from Barbershop Harmony Society's Midwinter Convention, which is known for its Youth Men's Chorus and Youth Women's Chorus.
