Judging at Harmony, Inc.'s International Convention & Contests is serious business.

The International Contests, which return Nov. 1-4 to Halifax, Canada, are adjudicated by a panel of three certified judges, one for each category: music, presentation, and singing. All judges (both area and international) are appointed by and under the auspices of International Contest and Judging chair Jacquie Jensen.

Each January, formal judge training is held at the Category Training School and continues through the category directors.

Harmony, Inc. states "Certification, requiring many years of training, is granted only after a candidate has demonstrated the skills necessary to consistently score and evaluate contest performances within the Harmony, Inc. guidelines".
