The Sandy Feldstein National Percussion Festival continues on Friday at 8:30 AM CT from the Warren Performing Arts Center in Indianapolis, featuring five of the nation’s most outstanding middle and high school percussion ensembles. 

Each group will present a 25-minute performance, which you can view live on FloVoice.

Dickerson Middle School Percussion Ensemble
Marietta, GA

Under the direction of Scott Brown, the Dickerson Middle School Percussion Ensemble is comprised of seventh- and eighth-graders. The music program at DMS also includes a jazz band, symphony orchestra, Afro-Cuban, Japanese taiko, Brazilian samba, African, and "stomp" ensembles. The Dickerson percussion ensemble also participates in the nationally recognized Walton High School Band. 

Prior to coming to DMS, acclaimed director Scott Brown led the two-time Bands of America Grand National champion Lassiter High School Band to eight BOA Regional Championships and participation in both the Macy's and Tournament of Roses parades.  



Creekview High School Percussion Ensemble
Carrollton, Texas

Committed to confidence, devotion, ambition, and compassion, the Creekview High School Band brings together a diverse group of individuals to form a united family in music. Percussion director Nathan Sundberg came to Creekview High School with a long line of accolades for his work at Lone Star High School. He was also a featured soloist for The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps in their 2006 DCI World Championship performance and a member of the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps, winning the 2008 DCI World Championship and the Fred Sanford High Percussion Award.



University High School Percussion Ensemble
Orlando, FL 

The University High School Percussion Ensemble is a part of the larger music education program, with three level of percussion studies offered. Members of the ensemble also perform with performing with the wind ensemble, symphonic band, and marching band. The ensemble is led by director Jon Brown and associate director Jeff Willis.



Union High School Percussion Ensemble
Camas, WA

The five-time state ensemble champions and three-time NWAPA concert percussion champions come out of an extremely successful music program. Director Mark Claassen is an active adjudicator and performer, a featured soloist with the Seattle Wind Symphony, and member of the Southwest Washington Wind Symphony.



Prosper High School Percussion Ensemble
Prosper, Texas

Always at the top of their class in competition, the Mighty Eagles Percussion Ensemble also participate in concert band, the steel drum band, and marching band. Team-taught by director of bands John Alstrin and director of percussion Michael Huestis, these students are part of a very active and competitive music program.
