Darci Lynne Farmer is a 12 year old ventriloquist.

When asked why she does what she does, Farmer said, “For me it’s always been, you know, hard to talk to people. I’m not good at eye-contact, and things like that. Ventriloquism, kind of, helped me find my voice. It’s really helped me come out of my shell."

For those unfamiliar with the Golden Buzzer, it's a concept that was introduced in Season 9 of America's Got Talent. The button sends the performer straight to the live shows and past all the intermediary rounds.  Each judge may press the buzzer only once.
