Fireside Quartet To Compete in Sweeps National Finals

The rules of the Harmony Sweepstakes are much less strict than that of the Barbershop Harmony Society. Fireside Quartet are excited to be competing at Sweeps on Saturday, May 20, at the Marin Center in San Rafael, CA, because they get to perform in a way that they aren't allowed to in most standard barbershop competitions.

They won first place at the 2017 Boston Regional Harmony Sweepstakes and also picked up the Audience Favorite Award and Best Soloist honors for David Adams.

We are a quartet of good friends who sing together to share the joy of four-part harmony with others as well as with ourselves. We have been singing together for 3 1/2 years, and last October we finished fourth in the 2016 Northeast District Barbershop Harmony Contest.

  Saturday night 10 of the best collegiate groups in the world took the stage at the Playstation Theatre in the heart of Times Square. The first group out was Pitch Please, the Wild Card Finalist, from Northeastern University in Boston. They kicked off the show with incredible energy and killer shoes. Taking away the award for Best Vocal Percussion. This all girl group knows who they are and aren’t afraid to show it.
