Rak Shalom Takes Home Kol HaOlam's Top Prize
Results from the seventh annual Kol HaOlam National Collegiate Jewish A Cappella Competition in Washington, D.C., on April 13.

The number of Jewish collegiate a cappella groups in the nation exceeds 50. Some of the more popular Jewish groups include Six13, The Maccabeats, The Y-Studs, ShirSoul, and Pella.
While there are numerous competitions for a cappella groups such as the Harmony Sweepstakes and ICCA, there was a void in the Jewish a cappella world until 2011, when Adas Israel Congregation hosted the first annual Kol HaOlam National Collegiate Jewish A Cappella Competition in Washington, D.C.
University of Maryland's Rak Shalom was crowned this year's first-place winner on April 13.
Second Place: Northwestern University ShireiNU
Third Place: Princeton University Koleinu
Best Soloist: Daniela Nagar of University of Maryland Rak Shalom
Best Beatboxer: Noah Bar-Shain of University of Maryland Rak Shalom
Best Original Arrangement: Sam Shankman of Northwestern University ShireiNU
Audience Favorite: University of Maryland Rak Shalom
