Meet The Irish Competitors Part 2

Ireland's A Cappella Competition is ready to go big this Saturday, live only on FloVoice


Launched as part of an initiative by Ardú Vocal Ensemble to help develop a national performance platform for a cappella ensembles in Ireland, the competition has now been divide into two categories: Small Ensemble and Large Chorus. A combination of 4 finalists from these categories will progress to the Grand Final held also on Saturday at 7pm.

The Ramparts


The Ramparts are an all-male chamber choir from Dublin who specializes in Traditional Irish, Folk, Pop and Barbershop.


Notabelles

Formed in 2013, the Notabelles from South Dublin are members of the Irish Association of Barbershop Singers.


Crunniu Chamber Choir


Cruinniú is an all-female chamber choir based in Arklow, Co. Wicklow. They perform in all styles from sacred to traditional, popular to classical.

The competition will be judged by a panel of three judges along with IIACF Artistic Director Ciarán Kelly as chair. Our adjudicators are John McGlynn (Ireland), Alex Haigh (UK) and Ollie Lambert (UK)


There are a number of prizes up for grabs with the overall winning group receiving the Ireland's A Cappella Competition 2017 bespoke trophy and a FREE recording session at Windmill Lane Recording Studios, sponsored by Dublin Studio Hub


There will also be a winner from each category chosen to participate in a masterclass with IIACF headlining act The Swingles, the following day at The Royal Hospital Kilmainham


Also, one lucky group will be handpicked by the festival composer in residence Ollie Lambert for an exclusive tailored arrangement of a song of their choice written especially for them!
