Live Looping In Armenia With Garegin Araqelyan
Garegin Araqelyan of Gata Band may be one of the only musicians live looping in Yerevan, Armenia.
Garegin Araqelyan is probably the only guy in Armenia who does live looping.
Also known as Garegin Bingyol or Ashugh Bingyol, Araqelyan is a multi-instrumentalist in Gata Band who employs mostly ethnically Armenian instruments.
The band is one of the most innovative groups in Armenia, performing traditional folk music with a fresher take and modern approaches.
Late last year, Joss Stone stopped in Yerevan, Armenia, on her "Total World Tour" and jammed with Gate Band.
