Season 12 Of 'America's Got Talent' May Be Its Strongest Vocally
So far, this season of "America's Got Talent" is perhaps assembling the show's strongest crop of vocal performers yet.

We're only on episode two, and there already are two contestants in the "Top 48." Judges Mel B and Simon Cowell have both used their Golden Buzzers on two amazing acts:

Simon Cowell Sends Mandy Harvey Straight To The Live Shows

Harvey lost her hearing when she was 18 and plays with her band by feeling the vibrations in the floor. She won the judges over with a song she wrote called "Try."

Mel B Hits The Golden Buzzer First For Darci Lynne

When asked about how she got started in ventriloquism, Lynne said:
For me it's always been, you know, hard to talk to people. I'm not good at eye contact and things like that. Ventriloquism, kind of, helped me find my voice. It's really helped me come out of my shell.

Family Band Pelican 212 Gets Sent To The Next Round

Pelican212, along with Lynne, was also on the NBC show "Little Big Shots" and appeared on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon." This band of brothers and sisters honed their skills busking on the sidewalks of Nashville, TN; New Orleans; and Pensacola, FL.

Chase Goehring Gets Through To the Next Round With His Own Song

The 21-year-old singer songwriter got a standing ovation from all four judges with his original song, "Hurt."

No Pity Party Needed For Puddles

You may know him from Post Modern Jukebox. You may know him from Neil Patrick Harris' Circus Awesomeus. You may not know his real name is Mike Geier.  Either way, this 7-foot clown has a voice you won't soon forget.

Yoli Mayor is Hailed As The 'Cuban Adele'

Yoli Mayor, a 21-year-old first-generation Cuban American, has been hailed as the "Cuban Adele." Cowell stops her mid-song before remarking that she was the "dark horse to watch" and that "we may have found a solid gold star." Although, underneath it all, Mayor is a ball of nerves.

Preacher Lawson Leaves Everyone Wanting More

Yes, stand-up comedy counts as a vocal talent, and Preacher Lawson most certainly has "got talent." The audition fell on Lawson's birthday and advancing to the next round was a great present for this soon-to-be 26-year-old. How would you handle Cowell asking for more outside of your prepared set?!

9-Year-Old Angelica Hale Blows The Crowd Away

Last and certainly not least is Angelica Hale, a 9-year-old vocal powerhouse who "wants to be the next Whitney Houston." She also just found out that she's going to be a big sister! How did she not get a Golden Buzzer?!
